Def Jam: Icon (PS3) Customer Review: What have they done!?
This game was a big disappointment especially after Def Jam: Fight for NY. Def Jam: Fight for NY was a amazing game but this was such a let down, don’t get me wrong the graphics are spectacular but the gameplay is AWFUL! i can’t stand with what they have done to the game. You now fight to music this invovles no tatics to what to do basically just press the same old buttons till the music K.O your opponent. The gameplay is fairly enjoyable at first but after a while it is repetitive and boring. The storyline is rubbish unlike Fight for NY and basically the whole game has been ruined!

Avoid this game!
Customer Review: Def Jam, Slightly dissapointed.
Unlike Def Jam: Fight for NY there are no weapons, also the game is trying to be too realistic were as in Fight for New York It was a very fun game which I could play on end. Overall ICON has amazing graphics and was merged Hip-Hop and fighting well. But its ‘fighting’ and not wrestling.

Conan (PS3)

Conan (PS3)
Customer Review: Not as good as said
It is not a very good game. I played the demo and it was not fun. The fighting is dry and repetitive and there is no point learning the comboes as it’s a waste of time. The graphics are like a PS2 game and the voice acting is dodgy. It is a wanabee of God of War.

Customer Review: Good, but not as good as God of War.
OK, I think that every reveiwer for this game has pointed out that this game has better and more boobs than God of War, I agree with these people. So for the rest of this review I’m going to do comparisons to God of War, so here goes.

1st of all the bits better than God of War:

Nudity

Blood

Fighting

Combos

Slo-mo enemy deaths

Now, all of bits worse than God of War:

Graphics

Lack of puzzles

You get into your head that Conan isn’t an antihero

Conan isn’t as cool as Kratos

No minigame when you encouter topless babes

I still prefer God of War actually.

Devil May Cry 4 (PS3) For a game that started off as an aborted Resident Evil sequel, the Devil May Cry series hasn’t done too badly for Capcom. The third game, in particular, was renowned as one of the very best action games of the last generation of consoles and this fourth iteration is aiming not to spoil that success. It is happy to mess with the story formula though, since you don’t actually control Dante the demon hunter at all, but a new character called Nero. Dante does make an appearance though, initially as an enemy, as well as a new love interest named Kyrie.

He may not be half demon, but Nero has a very similar range of weapons and powers to Dante, including a magical right arm that gives him his “Demon Bringer” powers. The series’ success has always been down to its incredibly deep combat system that mixes acrobatics, melee combat and gunplay into an almost balletic whole, which makes most rival games seem moribund by comparison. This has tended to make the games quite complex for first time players though, but this new sequel is promised to be more accessible and yet oddly possessing a higher difficulty level than earlier games (none of which were exactly walkovers).

Stunning graphics have also always been a hallmark of the series and in that area Devil May Cry 4 certainly doesn’t seem likely to disappoint. What’s been shown so far includes not only gigantic bosses and highly detailed characters, but also some pretty amazing gothic architecture - most of which is a lot more interactive (i.e. destructible) than usual. As an early visitor to the PS3 it looks like Devil May Cry will continue to be the premier action series on Sony’s consoles.

Customer Review: Hooked for weeks now!
There have already been loads of reviews and slatings for this game…as an experienced DMC player i would say that playing on Human or Devil Hunter mode is boring….its too easy! The game really comes into its own on Son of Sparda and Dante Must Die modes. Here you are forced to learn the combos, be far more stylish in fighting and also you really need as many blue orbs as possible! this includes having to complete all the secret missions etc This is more what DMC is about….

Out of all the DMC titles, I would say that this is by far the hardest once you are playing these difficulty modes….a real challenge.

Lastly, Nero is fun to play, with the devil bringer, which is a good idea, but he cannot compete with Dante for sheer coolness!
Customer Review: devil may cry 4 review by sarah
This game is amazing. i actually don’t own it yet but i rented a copy. i have to say tho it was a little slow with the loading first time, but after that it’s been ok. its such a shame now that i have to take it back, i’ve been playing on it for hours over the weekend. its very addictive.
its something i’m likely to buy in the future.

Sony's PS3 poised to grab limelight this year | Technology | Reuters

Formula One Championship Edition (PS3)

Formula One Championship Edition (PS3)

In a nutshell:
The most exciting Formula One season for a long time has spawned a console simulation to match with long awaited new online modes and some surprising PSP connectivity options?€?

The lowdown:
Owning the official FIA license means this game is the only one with all the real 2006 drivers, cars, teams, circuits and rules – but thankfully there’s more to this game than dull simulation. In fact this year’s iteration prides itself on being accessible to everyone with scalable driving aids for every skill level. There’s also a new online version for all versions, where you can compete in a full 18 race season with real human opponents. Other welcome new additions include taking the options of playing as chief engineer through the existing career mode and more subtle change such as computer driven cars that make believable mistakes instead of just robotically keeping to the racing line.

Most exciting moment:
Since the PS2 and PSP versions are coming out at the same time you’re able to transfer data between each, you can even race other players online on the other version, no matter which console they’re playing on.

Since you ask:
Although little is known about the PS3 version of the game so far Sony has demonstrated a way to connect the PSP to it and use the portable console as a fully interactive wing mirror – displaying exactly what is going on behind you in full 3D.

The bottom line:
The PS2 and PSP are in pole position for this welcome racing update.

Customer Review: Excellent game - recomended
This is an excellent game - and being an avid Formula One Grand Prix fan it is easier for me to appreciate just how good this is. It is impressive graphics wise, quite a step forward from the old PS2, and the game play is good also. You have several different modes, a quick race, a championship, a test day, or a five year career mode.

The game incorporates all the good elements of the 2006 FIA Formula One world championship, drivers and cars alike, although if there is one complaint it would be the fact that Juan Montoya is still in the McLaren, but obviously the game went to the shelves before that could be rectified.

The cars handle and drive well, and can be altered and set up nicely to drive excellently. Just a little complaint again, would be the sometimes jagged nature of the steering, but it’s a minor niggle.

There is also an F1TV mode, which allows you to see an entire grand prix race played out on your screen, just as you would on a race weekend. This is a good extra, one that I have always appreciated, and can get surprisingly exciting at “crucial” points in races!!

All in all a good game, and definetly recommended.

Customer Review: A totally different game compared to the old!!!!
I got this game when i bought the ps3‘>ps3 package. I had nearly every season of the F1 games on the PS2 (what a fool i was) they were rubbish, nothing felt right and the games were rubbish so i took a gamble with the new one and it payed off. Its brilliant, graphics, handling, car setup, everything is how it should be on a F1 game. Its a definate buy for me!

Customer Review: worth buying in time for the playtv
i have jus put an order on this item as i plan to purchase the playtv the minute it comes out, actually… make that seconds! the playtv sounds awesome and i don’t wanna be fiddling about with the sixaxis controller when i’m watching telly. plus i’ve ordered it now to prevent having to see ‘temporarily out of stock’ sign on the product when the playtv is out. i’ve finally purchase the eye camera from dabs where i found it along with eye of judgment having waited such a long time for this site and others to have it available but to no avail. so i browsed many sites for eye of judgement which includes the free eye camera and i think i can download eyecreate from the online shop for free, not sure yet though. but yea it was the cheapest at dabs and i’m not sure if i am gonna play the eye of judgment game because it’s not my type of game but i’m not gonna knock it till i’ve tried it. the reason why i bought the eye camera was for the call of duty game, which is brilliant no doubt. and the reason why i’m mentioning the eye camera on this blu-ray remote control is to to advise people that the stock of this product may be limited due to the release of playtv. it would most probably be an essential product, not jus flicking through channels or hoppin lol but you may find it good use when watching a blu-ray or normal dvds, maybe when your girlfriend comes around or if you’re gay your boyfriend and if you’re a girl gamer your boyfriend or your girlfriend, whose to say? lol anyways i think i’ve just wrote the the fifth testament, so that’s enough from me, i’m out. take care…
Customer Review: Does What It Say’s On The Tin!
The blue ray remote is essential if you wish to use the console for anything other than games.
Such as Blue Ray movies, DVD’s, CD’s and if you use it to stream media form your computer as I do.
It is very well built and the buttons are well laid out.
May not be the most exciting item Sony have made but I highly recommend it.

Universal Challenge 5 in 1 Racing Wheel (PS3, PS2, Wii, GameCube, PC)

Universal Challenge 5 in 1 Racing Wheel (PS3, PS2, Wii, GameCube, PC)
Customer Review: A definite buy!!
a very handy little piece of kit. very easy to use, the rumble feature is very realistic when you run onto the grass etc. the pedals are good, but aren’t the most comfy for your feet if you use it for long periods at a time (a few hours). a definite buy for the keen racer!!

Customer Review: Good, when it works
I bought this wheel from Game on 27 Dec 2007 and three weeks later iv replaced it twice and am now searching for something better. The problem was the flappy paddles for shifting are exactly that, flappy. Under normal gaming iv damaged 3 paddles so they dont respond anymore, it sounds like something inside has snaped, as there seem to be something rattling around. For around ?25 the wheel is ok, soft force feed back and a bit plasticy, but what do you expect? Maybe something that does what it says on the tin without breaking the first time its used.

Customer Review: Great!
Excellent Value! I looked at building a setup myself, and the bucket seat alone was more expensive than this whole setup. Logitech G25 mounts perfectly with no play. Cords are a little annoying as with anything but tie raps takes care of that pretty easily. I was a little concerned about heel toe down shifting with the post between my legs like that, but it has not been an issue at all. Overall great quality, solid and completes the game driving experience.
Customer Review: Works for tall folk
Very impressed with the quality and comfort and at 6′4 I have no problems getting situated at all. Love it!

Customer Review: PS3 controller could have been better
PROS: (1) Similarity to previous controller and ease of use. (2) Lightweight yet still incorporates an excellent battery life. (3) Sixaxis works surprising well, ONCE you get it down. (4) Wireless function doesn’t auto-shutoff or give “1/2 power” warnings like the Xbox 360. CONS: (1) Close to $45 (depending on retailer) is outrageous. (2) If purchased seperately, charging/sensing cable does not come with the controller. (3) Charging/sensing cable is approx. three feet (or 1m) long. (4) The reason I say chaging and SENSING cable is because if you want to play with more than one controller they all must be plugged and ’sensed’ by the PS3 for them to be activated, whereas on the Xbox 360 you just hold the button on the controller and the console sense buttons down simultaneously.
Customer Review: GREAT PS3 CONTROLLER
This controller is perfect it is much like the ps2 version but it is wireless and very lightweight. The only thing is the price is sort of steep but I would still recommend it to anyone.

List Price: $79.00
Amazon Price: $63.24
Used Price: $61.23
Customer Review: Not really from Ergoguys
It’s a great keyboard, I admit, but I subtract 1 star because it’s not made by Ergoguys but by X-gene. It looks more like the cheaper version, $10 cheaper, supposedly by Adesso, but another buyer had also mentioned that he got the X-gene brand as well. So the product is not what is advertised, BEWARE! Should just go for the Adesso / X-gene brand and save yourself $10.
Customer Review: Great for home theater environments
The keyboard works well for home theater environments where a level surface is not available for mousing. Pros: nice trackball–left click button is placed conveniently. Reliable wireless link allows remote wakeup from sleep mode. Cons: Took a while to get it to work the first time, and the left shift key was very sticky. To move the cursor after a period of inactivity, need to first press a button or key. Right click could be placed more conveniently on same side of keyboard as trackball. Overall, not really pretty but a pretty good value.

Folklore (PS3)

Launch games for new consoles are often given far more leeway than others, simply because everyone recognises they haven’t had as long in development. Genji: Days Of The Blade won’t be making any one’s top ten lists by the end of the year but with their second game Japanese developer Game Republic have made some improvements. Set in Ireland the game has an unusual storyline involving fairies and other monsters of significant scarier proportions. You take control of either the rough and ready Keats or the more tactical Ellen, with the chance to switch between either character at the beginning of each chapter of the game.

At a basic level it’s a sort of action role-player as you spend time in town talking to fairies before venturing out to capture monsters, Pokemon style. In order to capture a monster (or “Folk” as the game has it) you have to soften them up with normal attacks and then reel them in by flicking the Sixaxis upwards like a fishing rod. If it works you’re then able to call upon your newly captured critter for help by mapping them to a face button. Different Folks have different abilities, such as flying or creating magical shields, and you often need specific types to overcome particular enemies. .

Customer Review: Fun Little Game
The “Action-RPG” Genre is always dodgy ground for me. Make one or the other otherwise you’ll most likely end up with a game that has a bad story and terrible combat. Believe me, i’d love a game that took the action of a Devil May Cry and story from a Final Fantasy and brought them together in harmony, but it’ll never happen. Folklore is about as good as an Action-RPG you’re going to pick up.

The game goes like this, after a few sequences of events you’re transported to these faery lands for one reason or another. There, you will find Folks. From here you proceed to beat said Folks untill you can absorb it and use it to attack other Folks. Different Folks from different realms have varying elemental properties, speed of attack, damage - you get the picture. And, you guessed it. Some Folks are better suited for fighting some foes than others. With many bosses you’ll have to find the right combination as some Folks wont even damage an enemy. At first it irked me, but it meant you couldn’t just switch to your most powerful Folk for a boss fight, it makes you think a little.

The controls are as easy to pick up as any game and makes the best use of the SIXAXIS tilt of any PS3 game. As with Folks, different movements with the SIXAXIS are needed to defeat enemies and absorb Folks, but the tutorials are very clear.

Fans of J-RPG’s might like the next bit, as the story is delivered in a quirky comic book style. Not being a massive fan of this style i found it a bit peculier but you soon get used to it. There are proper voice acted sequences aswell, but they’re rare. The rest of the story bit is where Folklore does it’s little thing. You can play this game in one of two, or three or four ways. At the start of the game you’re asked to pick a character. Keats or Ellen. Then you’re prompted again at the end of every chapter. So you see where this can go. I opted to play through the entire games as Keats first then Ellen, but you can mix it up as much as you like.

Last port of call, graphics. At first glance they dont appear much as the style is a little decieving. If you look closer though, there’s a lot of nice details.

An interesting side note. By this date, there’s a lot of downloadable content available for Folklore now with new character skins and sidequests and the like.

Playing through this game reminded me a lot of what Chaos Legion (PS2) tried to do. It’s not as dark as that game, but Folklore pulls the concept of with much more success.
Customer Review: Good fun but weird
It can get a little weird at times and you can often leave an area without meaning too. eg. avoinding folks and ending up going back into the area youve just come from as there is a pause while the next screen loads (most annoying). This, and its often not clear where your going as the map is rubbish, and the story line is lost on me. However the graphics are great and the music/ soundtrack is really nice. At ?27… its worth a buy. Ive found a few glitches as well where the character gets stuck .. however get a faq/walkthrough for the more difficult bits and you’ll enjoy it.. as even when you know what to do its still a challenge.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (PS3)??

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (PS3)??
With the Pro Evolution Soccer series renowned for its fluid, realistic gameplay, the new game builds on the implementation of Teamvision with additional key advances. As with previous releases since its inception in 1996, the ball is again treated as a separate entity, with the timing of shots entirely down to the player, while the new AI ensures that defenders work to close down space and block efforts on goal. Similarly, distribution of passes works along the same lines, with players using the space available to them to switch the ball. Close control has also been enhanced with more control when dribbling the ball, and a number of subtle moves added to bypass defenders and move the ball into space.

Customer Review: The reason people stopped buying FIFA…………………
I started buying iss on ps1 when fifa done nothing for a few years and didn’t try and improve their games. Now its FIFA that are improving each title and PES2008 is pes5 but strangely worse! As for players making good runs they turn around and run back to defend when they are in a good position. Defense is terrible your players go behind the player than hang off his back. You can never select the player you want (FIFA have a system where you flick the analogue stick to the player you want). I ran the field and scored from outside the box with iker cassilas against a fairly good opponent online on the ps3‘>ps3. Basically both FIFA and Pro are not up to the standard that you expect from ?40 or there abouts. Konami sort it out as at least EA are trying to improve

Customer Review: Absolute shocker!!!
Ok, I love the Pro Evolution series and loved Pro Evolution 6…but this is a shocker. Unrealistic, slow and the graphics are terrible. The worst thing though is the gameplay. Shooting is a joke! What happened to the 30 yard screamers that you could pull off previously. Hopefully this is just a blip in the series. One word Konami…no more X-Box ports!!!!

Customer Review: Rock Band players BEWARE!!!
I recently played Rock Band with a friend on his Xbox 360 and he was using a guitar from GH3 that worked flawlessly. I purchased Rock Band for my PS3 and started to gather friends to play, but I needed a 2nd guitar for bass so I purchased this one. After I got it and examined the toy-like quality I plugged it in and fired up Rock Band. I was able to navigate but not play, WHY? After a little online research I learned of the legal problems between Activision and Harmonix preventing patches to allow the use of any guitar controller, so no dice with my new guitar. Back to Amazon and I guess I’ll have to wait until March when the Nyko Frontman Guitar comes out.
Customer Review: Great 2nd Guitar
After reading the last review I feel that if you are looking for a Guitar Hero Controller for the PS3 his review is TOTALLY bogus. This is a pretty good product I would recommend it if you are in need of a controller that works with your PS3 Guitar Hero III and on your PC for Frets on Fire, It works on Both. The controller is very sturdy, looks great and to be honest it’s a bit more responsive than the Gibson (just my opinion) But of course there are some drawbacks like the whammy bar is not in calibration out of the box, had to set my Video calibration to 7 to have my whammy respond to every tilt and the shipping was a nightmare out of Utah with the bad weather other than that BUY IT.

2 Pack of Component/Composite Audio Cable for PS3?

Sega Rally (PS3) Customer Review: Not bad, not good.
Initially this is a very enjoyable game with excellent graphics and decent cars. The tracks are challenging and the deformation technology adds variety (and really shows off the power of the PS3).

However, while the difficulty level in the early stages is ok, it completely ramps up as you go along (particulary after finishing the premier championship) and as such requires the patience of a saint to persevere.

The main attraction of Sega Rally is flooring it and sliding round corners but the difficulty level punishes messing up one corner and condemns you to slugging it out for 3rd or 4th.

If you fancy a challenge buy it for the championship mode but it still is good for a quick pick up and play blast around a few cool tracks.
Customer Review: Classic Arcade Racing
If you’re looking for an over-the-top rally racing game look no further than Sega Rally Revo. If you’re looking for a hardcore rally experience this isn’t the game for you, think of Sega Rally as the Ridge Racer of rally games.

There are a handful of offline options such as Championship, Time Trial and Free Run. Championship is the heart of the game where you compete for points in multiple sets of 3 or 4 races. The points you earn during the Championship allow you to unlock new championships, tracks and cars, all of which can be used in the other offline modes as well as online. You don’t need to win every race to unlock items, you may only need to score a total of 240 points out of a possible 280 to unlock everything.

There are three main groups of cars in Sega Rally, Premier, Modified and Classic. Premier are your modern WRC rally cars, Modified are mostly cars from the smaller rally championships around the world and the Classics are the old Group B monsters from the 80’s. You can unlock new liveries for the cars when you hit 20 miles and 50 miles driven in each particular car. This helps to spread out the use of each car although you’ll probably find one or two models that you’ll use over and over.

Track selection is a little light, there are five enviroments, Tropical, Safari, Canyon, Alpine and Artic, another is unlocked later in the game. Each enviroment features three tracks all of which can be unlocked to be raced in reverse. One good thing is that none of the tracks are bad tracks, in fact I’d say that for the most part they’re all exceptionally well laid out. Geo-Deformation allows for deep ruts to be carved into the track while racing. These ruts can really pull your car around and play into racing strategy.

Online options are plentiful and fun and lag is non-existant. Full online Championships can be created and raced among friends. Nothing groundbreaking here but it works well and adds to the replay value.

Graphically the game looks very nice with not much more than a hint of aliasing and the framerate seems a steady 30fps at all times. There are some nice effects such as cars getting muddy and then having the mud washed off by a large puddle. The enviroments are nice to look at and offer a lot of variety between each. Watching the Aurora Borealis while racing the Artic is quite an experience.

Overall, Sega Rally Revo is a fun rally game that manages to take you back to the days of dropping quids into an arcade machine. I’d recommend the game to anyone looking for a simple, fun rally experience.

NHL 08 (PS3)

NHL 08 (PS3)
Customer Review: What is the point of dynasty mode?
To quote the game description “Off the ice, act as the General Manager in an enhanced Dynasty Mode. Do whatever it takes to meet an owner’s expectations by properly managing rosters and using your creativity to fit player salaries under the new cap.” and “29 AHL teams - the top developmental league for the NHL - are exclusively featured and fully playable. Develop your talent with their minor affiliate until you are ready to call them up for the show. Be the GM and manage your team from the ground up while staying under the salary cap.” What they are trying to do is make something boring sound exciting, and you get NO reward for clearing this joke of a mode. Are you paying attention EA? Can you please make it sound boring rather than exciting as i severe problems managing a team due to my asbergers? Apart from that, it is a great game and i would recommend it to any ice hockey fan. Go Flyers and Penguins!

Customer Review: Face Off
Got this game yesterday and looks very impressive. The practice sessions are very good and a bit tricky to start with.

All the usual NHL teams in it as well as AHL and international teams. Has a good choice of modes of play from setting up your own tournament to Dynasty Mode.

Can also create your player to look like yourself and play as a goalie in goalie mode which haven’t done yet although sounds interesting.

Usual commentary which is good and makes you feel like you are actually watching a game or are there!!! The music is good also and has all the usual sights and sounds from a hockey match.

This version feels more realistic than 07 version and I have to say overall I am impressed. If you like your ice hockey buy it you will not be disappointed.

Customer Review: PS3
I mainly use my PS3 for bluray. I bought the 80gb so that I would have backwards compatible. I have a ps2 and wanted to be able to use those games with my ps3‘>ps3. However I have only played a couple of games on it, but I use it everyday for movies. It does a nice job upscaling regular dvds for my tv. I have updated the firmware through the wireless internet and it is so easy. I really love this system. The picture is so amazing that you get off this system. I also love the wireless controller that they put with this, I can now sit on my couch and play and not have to worry about the wires. Sony definetly has a winner with this one.
Customer Review: The New Era…
Well for starters I just wanted to say I honestly held my cards on my new system venture for quite some time. Lots of people in my ear about the 360 but my gut was still in the corner of Sony because the PS 1 and 2 held down the market solid for quite a long time. I received my PS3 a few days ago, and I couldn’t be more happy. The graphics on games like Uncharted and Call of Duty 4 are simply amazing. Even the Grand Turismo Concept Demo is crystal clear. Now I’m not knocking any other system, because the folks at Microsoft and Nintendo (who are the comback kings of this great debate) deserve a nod. I’m just going with what I want as a gamer who is almost 30. A great system with solid games (FF, Metal Gear, GTA, GOW and GT soon to come) that also doubles as a blu ray player and overall media center. Plus who cares if the other guy has more games (which would be shameful if he didn’t considering he came out first). My true gamers know it’s not about that at all, right. Oh one last thing. The online play for Call of Duty 4 much better than the online play on Halo…and it’s free too holla!

HDMI Cable V1.3 (PS3) Customer Review: No 1080P support!
Works great at all resolutions up to and including 1080i. Unfortunately does not work at all at 1080p (either with a ps3‘>ps3 or an upscaling panasonic dvd recorder - these both work fine with the free hdmi lead supplied with the virgin V+ box!).
Customer Review: If you think this works for your PS3 - think again!
If you have followed the instructions about turning on your PS3 and holding down the power button for the second beep then followed the on screen instructions and the picture appears - that’s ok then? No its not, you are not seeing you pS3 in its best light with this cable it will set itself to a lower resolution and show a picture, but the quality is not there in the picture. Full HD is a resolution of 1920×1080 if your TV has this capability either at 1080i (lower quality) or 1080P (highest quality) this cable is not going to give you that resolution. It will allow the PS3 to set itself to 576p or maybe 760P both are lower quality at 576P you only get 720×576 and at 720P you only get 1280×720. You can check this by looking in the display menu of your PS3 in the system branch. The information will be in the form of 576P or 720P or 1080i or 1080P. Only if your TV has 1080 I or P otherwise this cable will do just fine. I replaced this cable (nearly took the TV back) with a much higher quality version and it works just fine in 1080P with Samsung Full HD TVs. It looks brilliant and what an excellent piece of kit the PS3 is.

Rayovac Universal Battery Charger for Rechargeable AA, AAA, C, D, and 9-Volt Batteries
The Rayovac PS3 Rechargeable Battery Universal Charger will charge any size NiMH battery. This device will recharge up to eight AA or AAA batteries; four C or D batteries; or even a single 9-Volt battery. The PS3 is perfect for high battery usage households, and it is capable of recharging batteries over 1000 times. If your family or business burns through piles of regular alkaline batteries, grab yourself a stack of NiMH rechargeables and the Rayovac PS3, and start saving money.

Why Rechargeables
Today’s high-drain, electronic devices demand rechargeable NiMH batteries. NiMH batteries actually last longer than alkaline batteries in most high-tech devices and they can generally be recharged up to 500 times. This high-volume rechargeability results in cost-savings that can add up to thousands of dollars. Plus, with Rayovac NiMH batteries, there are no “memory” problems — recharge your Rayovac batteries any time, even if they are only partially drained.

Usage Tips

  • Always charge NiMH batteries before first use
  • For maximum performance, charge batteries prior to using if stored for more than one month
  • NiMH rechargeable batteries are available in AA, AAA, C, D, and 9-volt sizes
  • NiMH batteries can be disposed of with regular trash — NiMH is safe for the environment

Customer Review: Great charger
Great charger for great price. Only one out there that I found that will charge 8 AA or AAA at a time or 4 C, or D’s. Don’t have to set a switch to tell it what kind of batter it is either. Automatically stops charging when fully charged so don’t have to worry about overcharging. Very convenient.

A VERY USEFUL PRODUCT TO HAVE AROUND. SAVES ALOT OF MONEY IN THE LONG RUN.

Blazing Angels (PS3) Customer Review: Patrick’s Review
Blazing angels: squadrons of WWII is a darn right useless SINGLE player game! The MULTIPLAYER is the only good thing about it! The flaws of the single player game are: very few missions around 15 (each at 15 minutes long), you have almost the same objective in each mission, Graphics are horrible (except plane and water graphics) when i was playing it my friend came in and said “what ps2 game is this?”, you cannot leave a mark on the environment unless you put on an extra damage cheat ( but you can only destroy building withs rockets!)
THIS IS NOT A SIMULATOR, you wanna know why? I DONE A LOOP DE LOOP IN A B-17 FLYING FORTRESS! PLaying with a friend online or offline is fun only i wish it had 4 player but it only has 2 player when offline. When playing multiplayer it is most fun to try and land in one of the landing strips and battle it out while driving your plane on the ground!

My verdict : Worst single playered ps3‘>ps3 game ever, but makes up for some of it in multiplayer mode!
Customer Review: Performance not up to scratch
To be quite honest the gameplay is great in this but I found the scrolling of the graphics ruined it for me. I have a Sony Bravia TV capable of 1080i but on 720p the graphics were no better than a PS1, with horrid lines interfering with the game. Particularly when climbing, diving or changing direction quickly, it was rubbish. I came to the conclusion it was the game as my other PS3 games are fine, even when making fast movements. Shame really as I was looking forward to playing it, I ended up swapping for the altogether better Tiger Woods 07.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma (PS3)

Ninja Gaiden Sigma (PS3)

The old NES Ninja Gaiden games might be little known in Europe (where they were called Shadow Warriors) but on the Xbox the series found itself a whole new generation of fans with its stunning graphics and intense combat. This is a remake of the Xbox game Ninja Gaiden Black - itself a re-release of the original game with extra content. It’s essentially a third person fighter not too dissimilar to Devil May Cry, although the combat is more technical than Capcom’s freeform style, with every enemy putting up a considerable fight. Indeed without significant amounts of practise the game seems almost remorselessly difficult, even on the disparagingly named “ninja dog” mode.

The major addition in terms of content here is a new player character called Rachel, who trades the graceful combat of ninja Ryu Hayabusa for a gigantic hammer. In the end though the most import changes to the game are the apparently endless series of small refinements to each stage, with almost every element of a level tweaked, from different power-ups to new bosses, enemies and even weapons. Naturally the graphics have also been improved and despite the Xbox origins this is one of the best looking games on the PS3.

Despite the difficulty this features some of the most graceful combat seen in any game, against a surreal array of different backdrops and enemies. Once you start to master the controls, and realise that almost every attack can be blocked or dodged relatively easily, the whole experience becomes almost balletic.

Playseats Classic Gaming Seat (Red)
With a true-to-life cockpit design, the red Playseats classic gaming seat puts you smack dab in the middle of your favorite racing game. The seat works with most racing titles and game systems, including the Xbox 360, GameCube, PlayStation, PlayStation2, and PCs. More importantly, the chair is notably comfortable while delivering the most realistic racing simulation around. Just install a game steering wheel on the middle pole and attach a couple of pedals along the bottom (all sold separately).

The setup is easily adaptable, with three adjustment knobs letting you move the wheel and pedals closer or farther, depending on your height. And thanks to the high-quality steel construction, you needn’t worry about the gaming seat falling apart after just a few short months. Appropriate for ages 8 and older, the seat is the perfect accessory for gamers who want to boost their lap times in style.

List Price: $299.99
Amazon Price: $249.99
Customer Review: Great seat!
I already had the steering wheel and have used it for a few years. The seat really adds to the fun and comfort of playing. My nephew and Girl Friend both could not use the steering wheel before as they could not hold it but now it is no problem. It was easy to assemble and I feel it was a great buy.
Customer Review: Get the FULL racing experience!
This is the basic seat from Playseats and I am very happy with it. I paid $199.00 and shipping was free. Best deal I found. Installation was easy, I was missing one felt pad to protect the floor but I had some similar felt protectors that worked the same. The chair is comfortable, a bit large but I guess it’s made to fit a wide range of shapes. The overall construction is good. Packaging was good as well. I would recommend this to anyone who wants the full experience of video game racing.

Assassin’s Creed (PS3) It’s easy to see why there was so much fighting amongst the console manufacturers to try and make this game a format exclusive. Where early launch titles may have disappointed this game not only looks like a next generation game but it plays like it too. Taken at face value the story casts you as an Arabic fighter in 1191, out to assassinate the nine Western leaders of the Third Crusade. There is more to the story than that though making it more than simple historical adventure it first seems.

Since it’s developed by many of the same team behind Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, it’s no surprise to find the game using many of the same ideas. With the bold claim that you can climb on or over anything in the game world that sticks out more than two inches, this allows incredible freedom of movement, with a style of acrobatics heavily influenced by Parkour/free running. The game also innovates in terms of combat, with each of the face buttons controlling a different area of the body, rather like a marionette. As such one button controls the feet, one your open hand, one your weapon hand and the other your head.

As an assassin stealth plays an important role in the game too, but here it’s often a case of hiding in plain sight as you mill around inside large crowds of people. Everyone will react to you realistically though, so if you go around pushing people out of the way, or even killing them, the crowd will react and report you. With stunning graphics and genuinely innovative gameplay this is destined to be one of the most important releases of the year.

Customer Review: Pretty cool game, ABSOLUTELY fantastic ending
The reason I am giving this a 4 for fun, is that it is pretty good and exciting fun, OK I admit the gameplay for the missions are repetitive, however I played this game for about 13 hours, 8 of which was just roaming the cities and looking at the breathtaking size of it all, also I really enjoyed the fact that the cities were so interactive and lively. The gameplay was repetitive towards the end but when I followed the storyline, it made it totally worth the repetitiveness, as the story was intriguing. And I now come to the end where, I was dying for a sequel as it was so mysterious, and creepy!!! :-D. I am hoping that for the second if some of the gameplay is fixed and with and online multiplayer mode will make the game amazing.
Customer Review: Style over substance
Firstly, this game looks amazing. The colours and hues are extremely good at building an atmosphere perfectly suited to the game. I’m afraid that was it for me though, nothing else kept me going and I was soon bored of it. Even the ‘Leap of Faith’ couldn’t keep me going with a game that is so repetitive and void of any real NEW ideas. Yes it looks pretty, but its so slow and boring that you’ll soon be putting it away again. The ridiculous twist of the game being extracts from some guys relatives memories was a bridge too far for me. I wouldn’t recommend this game to anyone, sorry!

Customer Review: Amazing little remote
This thing is fantastic. I returned the OEM remote the same day I got this from Amazon. Does everything the OEM does plus it’s IR so it works with my Harmony remote. The usb dongle is small, you can barely see it when plugged into the 40GB PS3. I was skeptical at first I am really thrilled with this remote. People say that it doesn’t turn on the power which is true, but I find that I just plug in the dongle and turn on the power whenever I insert a movie. Get this item, you won’t be disappointed.
Customer Review: Programmable with Harmony Remote
According to my husband: Great remote, especially for those who have LG Harmony Remotes and wants simplicity. The only downside to it is that the Blu Wave Remote does not turn on the PS3; there is no power on button. Unfortunatley you would still have to use the regular PS3 Bluray remote to turn on the system. Because the power on feature is not on the Blu Wave Remote, there is no way to program that into a Harmony either. We have the Harmony 1000 and the RF extender, so it works great for us.
