Customer Review: Rubbish
I had got the demo on the PS3 and thought this would be a good koei dynasty warriors game, but it turns out it was rubbish! The attacks are not as fast as normal, the storyline is really bad. Sure is good for people who are mentally into any sci-fi game but koei will really let you down if you buy this game. So DONT BUY THIS GAME OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

Customer Review: Blu Ray player and a gaming machine
The PS3 is a good console, and probably (in my opinion) the best one out there. The built in blu-ray player is an added bonus as the industry has now selected it over the HD-DVD format. The ps3‘>ps3 is also great for playing online, I connected it to my DLink wireless router in a matter of minutes. I can also view my photos from my computer on my TV (check my review Samsung 40″ LCD TV). As for games there are so many for the PS3 and it can play PS2 games too and plenty of new ones are coming out. The graphics on the PS3 are better than the xbox, especially if you buy a HDMI cable and a 1080p TV as well. The wireless controls use bluetooth technology which is better then having cables restricting your movement, you do need the cable to charge them first though. There is also the play-station network which you sign up for free, it lets you download free demos and wallpapers, or full games. I wanted to get a BluRay player and my son wanted a gaming machine, so we are both happy with the PS3.
Customer Review: Sony PlayStation 3 (60GB)
Product summary The good: Swanky design with quiet operation; all games in high-definition; PSP-like user-friendly interface; plays high-def Blu-ray movies in addition to upscaling standard DVDs; built-in Wi-Fi and flash media reader; 60GB hard drive; online play is free; HDMI output with 1080p support; no external power supply; free online gaming service; plays PS2 and PS1 games; backwards compatibility is hardware based. The bad: Compelling exclusive games are still few and far between; PlayStation Home and rumble controller not available until 2008; a USB port on the back would’ve been nice; no infrared port means non-Bluetooth universal remotes aren’t compatible; glossy black finish is a fingerprint magnet; online gaming, media, and commerce options not nearly as developed as Xbox Live. The bottom line: The high-end Sony PlayStation 3’s larger hard drive and ability to play PS2 games makes it a worthwhile alternative to the cheaper model–so long as you’re willing to wait several months for the more promising exclusive titles to hit store shelves. If backward compatibility is your top priority, this hard-to-find model may be worth the search
Resistance: Fall of Man (PS3) In Resistance: Fall of Man, US and British forces band together in a last-ditch effort to save England from a horric scourge — the Chimera. This parasitic species infects other life forms with a virus that rapidly mutates victims into new Chimera. In mere decades this race has ripped apart populations across Asia and Europe and by 1951 has landed on the shores of England. You play the part of US a Army Ranger, fighting alongside a group of British resistance soldiers to free the country from the Chimera and to halt their spread across the globe.
Customer Review: Does not date that well
Note: I have not yet played COD 4!
I’ve been playing this after getting it at the end of last week because I thought I’d take advantage of this game being priced at the budget end for ps3‘>ps3 games (good to see prices falling). First point then, the price represents good value at 20 even if the game is not outstanding.
After playing UT3 for a few weeks this naturally felt slow and after playing uncharted i felt slightly miffed at the half-baked regenerative health system and complete lack of cover. When in a fight with the chimera you have to resort to time crisis duck and shoot tactics or just get in their faces and strafe round them. It’s pretty annoying to do the latter and then get battered by another 5 or 6 hidden round the corner. the game seems very gung ho but you need an element of stealth and that is frustrating in a FPS game.
Otherwise, if you can get past some relatively minor niggles the game plays well and the chimera are easy to hate which makes it satisfying to blow them away.
Overall, good value for money but bear in mind this game is roughly 7/10.
Customer Review: Not a good game for the power available at PS3
I’ve just bought myself the PS3 after been hit with the 3-rings of death of XBOX. God I loved my XBOX and suddenly that problem happened. To my surprise and contrary to my thoughts, the PS3 resulted waaay much better than expected. Super stylish, more sturdy, and by far less noiser than my XBOX (not to mention the Blue-ray and power potential with 7core processors). Anyway, back to the Game. Fortunately, I bought myself CALL of Duty 4 together with this. There is no way to compare. Although this game (Resistance) could be considered fun, it is way out of the league of what you should expect from a PS3 platform. Again, if you are into FPS, do not even consider this game. Just put a bit more of your pocket and go straight to Call of Duty 4. Simply amazing. The rest is all said. Hope it helps. (and once again, my thumps up for SONY, they did a really good job with PS3 and after such dissappointment with Microsoft, they certainly deserve the rewards.
