Conan (PS3)

Conan (PS3)
Customer Review: Not as good as said
It is not a very good game. I played the demo and it was not fun. The fighting is dry and repetitive and there is no point learning the comboes as it’s a waste of time. The graphics are like a PS2 game and the voice acting is dodgy. It is a wanabee of God of War.

Customer Review: Good, but not as good as God of War.
OK, I think that every reveiwer for this game has pointed out that this game has better and more boobs than God of War, I agree with these people. So for the rest of this review I’m going to do comparisons to God of War, so here goes.

1st of all the bits better than God of War:

Nudity

Blood

Fighting

Combos

Slo-mo enemy deaths

Now, all of bits worse than God of War:

Graphics

Lack of puzzles

You get into your head that Conan isn’t an antihero

Conan isn’t as cool as Kratos

No minigame when you encouter topless babes

I still prefer God of War actually.

Devil May Cry 4 (PS3) For a game that started off as an aborted Resident Evil sequel, the Devil May Cry series hasn’t done too badly for Capcom. The third game, in particular, was renowned as one of the very best action games of the last generation of consoles and this fourth iteration is aiming not to spoil that success. It is happy to mess with the story formula though, since you don’t actually control Dante the demon hunter at all, but a new character called Nero. Dante does make an appearance though, initially as an enemy, as well as a new love interest named Kyrie.

He may not be half demon, but Nero has a very similar range of weapons and powers to Dante, including a magical right arm that gives him his “Demon Bringer” powers. The series’ success has always been down to its incredibly deep combat system that mixes acrobatics, melee combat and gunplay into an almost balletic whole, which makes most rival games seem moribund by comparison. This has tended to make the games quite complex for first time players though, but this new sequel is promised to be more accessible and yet oddly possessing a higher difficulty level than earlier games (none of which were exactly walkovers).

Stunning graphics have also always been a hallmark of the series and in that area Devil May Cry 4 certainly doesn’t seem likely to disappoint. What’s been shown so far includes not only gigantic bosses and highly detailed characters, but also some pretty amazing gothic architecture - most of which is a lot more interactive (i.e. destructible) than usual. As an early visitor to the PS3 it looks like Devil May Cry will continue to be the premier action series on Sony’s consoles.
HARRISON DENT
Customer Review: Hooked for weeks now!
There have already been loads of reviews and slatings for this game…as an experienced DMC player i would say that playing on Human or Devil Hunter mode is boring….its too easy! The game really comes into its own on Son of Sparda and Dante Must Die modes. Here you are forced to learn the combos, be far more stylish in fighting and also you really need as many blue orbs as possible! this includes having to complete all the secret missions etc This is more what DMC is about….

Out of all the DMC titles, I would say that this is by far the hardest once you are playing these difficulty modes….a real challenge.

Lastly, Nero is fun to play, with the devil bringer, which is a good idea, but he cannot compete with Dante for sheer coolness!
Customer Review: devil may cry 4 review by sarah
This game is amazing. i actually don’t own it yet but i rented a copy. i have to say tho it was a little slow with the loading first time, but after that it’s been ok. its such a shame now that i have to take it back, i’ve been playing on it for hours over the weekend. its very addictive.
its something i’m likely to buy in the future.
